Watermeter Serving Platter
You can find the meter cover on any street in New Orleans.
Called the Crescent Box, the iconic watermeter was designed in 1921 by
Edwin Ford after visiting New Orleans on a sales trip when he designed the Ford® Crescent Box for the city. The lid design evolved from a quick drawing made on a borrowed drawing table at the New Orleans water department.
These lovely serving platters bring that design to you.
Approximately 11 inches round and hand-made of speckled stoneware.
Available in 9 glazes
My platters are handmade to order. Please allow for glazing variations as each is hand-dipped. It may take up to 6 weeks for delivery.
